A special mahalo to Guy Kamitaki of @bfcrafts @dai A special mahalo to Guy Kamitaki of @bfcrafts @daiso_hawaii @acehardwarehi for hosting a golf tournament this past Tuesday with proceeds benefiting Read To Me International Foundation! We’re also thankful for Joy Shimabukuro of @thejoyofcrafting for partnering with us this past year. She provided us with unique and crafty creations for our story-time events. Executive Director Dannah Barnes first met Guy Kamitaki at Toddler Time at Kahala Mall. He would bring his wife Gail and grandson Bryce to story time! 📚

Families also worked on a gratitude jar activity and received a free book! A special mahalo to Dura Constructors providing us with the books for today’s event along with @pearlridge

🎶 The Read To Me at the Symphony event with @ha 🎶 The Read To Me at the Symphony event with @hawaiisymphonyorchestra and @michaelthomasfoumai was a way to integrate read alouds with a family activity (concert rehearsal viewing). 📚We read aloud: -Twinkle Twinkle, Small Hōkū by Jane Gillespie of @beachhousepublishing -Taki’s First Concert by Ms Christina Toulios We’re grateful for @volunteerallyhi for helping us staff this event with Travis and Connor! 🙏
