I love to read books to children that are just plain fun! These books are about different kinds of birds with their own special personalities. The craft is quick, easy and allows the child to color a bird with whatever color he chooses and to decorate it with different colored paper strips and feathers.

Materials:

  • Poster board weight paper,
  • Strips of colored paper
  • Feathers
  • A beak
  • Googly eyes
  • Crayons
  • Glue stick
  • Stapler

Instructions:

  1. Cut a circle from a poster board or similar weight paper.
  2. Color and fold in half.
  3. Staple strips of colored paper at one end to make the tail. Fold beak in half and glue to the other end.
  4. Glue googly eyes and feathers.
